Small towns have certain tales about them that make up their history and makes them unique. For example, the Village of Bailey’s Prairie tells of a tale that originates from the person the town was named after. The story consists of the James Briton Bailey’s funeral and his last request to be buried with a liquor bottle. Unfortunately for him, the liquor bottle was stolen from his gravesite and now his ghost appears as a light to individuals traveling on certain roads near the Village of Bailey’s Prairie.
