Cass County is a county located in northeastern Texas and is bordered by Arkansas and Louisiana. It was previously known as Davis County, after Jefferson Davis, a Confederate President. However, it was later named after Lewis Cass, a Michigan senator who was in favor of the annexation of Texas. The population is estimated to be around 30,119 (2018) and its county seat is Linden. Cass county has plenty of trees and forests so its main source of economy is timber and paper industries. It also has beautiful scenery, there are the Atlanta state park, the wildflower trails and plenty of rivers.
