Hopkins County Texas Defensive Driving

Recreation

Downtown Sulfur Springs is located in Hopkins County and houses the beautiful Hopkins County Courthouse. The county thrived around the “healing” sulfur springs and was further pushed toward success by the addition of rail line in 1872. The sulfur springs are no longer active due to the rapid population increase. However, the area still features beautiful architecture, landscapes, and rotating events making Downtown Sulfur Springs a fun place to explore.

Education

The Southwest Dairy Museum is located in Hopkins County. The learning center educates visitors on the production of milk and milk products as well as the history of the dairy industry. Artifacts, photos, and stories follow the industry's growth. There is also an authentic soda bar where you can eat classic dairy-rich ice cream and have lunch.

Civic

The Hopkins County Courthouse is recorded as a Texas historic landmark and has received many awards for its design and restoration. Hopkins County does not have a municipal court but they have an established Justice of the Peace Court. You can take defensive driving for ticket dismissal in Hopkins County if the judge allows.
