Hill County Texas Defensive Driving

Hill County is a centrally located county in Texas that many consider it to be in the Hills of Texas. A major Interstate that runs through Hill County is Interstate 35. Hill County also includes Lake Whitney which is part of a historical event. The historic event happened in 1955 when people were claiming they were the best bass fisherman. To settle this argument, a gentleman by the name of Earl Golding decided to promote the world’s first bass fishing tournament. The event was held in Lake Whitney which now holds the bragging rights as the first lake to hold the first fishing tournament.

Hillsboro is the local county seat for Hill County. In 1955, most if not all, residents attended a dinner honoring Lyndon B Johnson. This dinner also had other political figures and dazzled attendants because of the number of black Cadillacs that were present.
