Yes. At the end of the first six hours (module one), the student will answer 30 state-approved DPS written test questions that are multiple-choice. The student must pass the written test with at least a 70 as the grade. Completing and passing this exam means the student will not be required to take the Written Knowledge Test at the DPS office. If the student does not pass, he\/she can retake the test again 24 hours later. The required behind-the-wheel driving hours can be completed after the student receives his\/her permit at the DPS. Learn to drive with our online parent-taught driver’s education course.\u00a0 Our course can be taken on any device (phone, tablet, PC, Mac), and is approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.\u00a0 After the first 6 hours of online learning, you will be eligible to get your Learners Permit.\u00a0 This will allow you to continue the course and start driving with your approved Parent Teacher!<\/p>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
As soon as you pass your online written exam, you will be presented with your certificate of completion for immediate download.\u00a0 A copy will also be emailed to you.\u00a0 We will then provide you with a checklist of items you will need to take with you to your local DPS, where you will take your eye exam and obtain your permit.<\/p>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
