Great news for Corpus Christi Residents! As of 2010 the Corpus Christi Police Department will no longer pursue fleeing vehicles if the offender’s only known violation is a minor misdemeanor or a traffic violation. The bad news is they are still going to get you.

The really good news is, if you are not fleeing from the police and you have time to sit down take a defensive driving course, there is an online traffic dismissal course for you. Comedy Driving, Inc. is now available online from anywhere in Corpus Christi if you have fast internet, a computer and can spend a couple of minutes a day to complete the safety driving course. The first step to freedom is asking the court permission to take a defensive driving course. The advantage of asking your court for permission to dismiss a traffic citation is that you not only get the opportunity to take a great educational course, but you have the opportunity to dismiss your traffic citation in addition to possibly receiving up to a 10% discount on your insurance. Be sure you ask the court for permission first, otherwise, the court will not accept your certificate of completion and they will make you take the course all over again. After you receive permission you are asked to make a small donation. This gift to the court will allow you to take our defensive driving course.

The course does not have to be completed in one day. You can log out and back into the course as many times as you want. We give you 120 days to complete the course. Always keep in mind that the court does give you a deadline date which you have to meet to satisfy your traffic citation.
