Vehicle equipment laws do not apply to every vehicle that you may encounter on the road. The vehicles which are not subject to the vehicle equipment laws found in the Texas Transportation Code are any implements of husbandry, road machinery, road rollers, farm tractors, bicycles (electric or not), and golf carts that are not required to be registered.
Other vehicle equipment not subject to Texas' vehicle equipment laws are any equipment required by an agency of the United States as well as any part or accessory not consistent with the Texas Transportation Code.
